Mine was 3 days .. parked outside the GF's house, and the woman opposite reversed out her drive, across the road and into my car.

Nice.

Main problem was the only reason I'd got a new car was someone had written off the previous one. And that claim was still outstanding.

Spoiled kid at school, goes to take his driving test at lunchtime and passes.

His parents have a brand new Opel Manta GTE delivered to school for him that afternoon.

He's making a lot of noise all afternoon and making a big show of choosing which people he'd take out for a spin that evening.

Come the end of the day he loads the 'lucky 3' into the car, jumps in himself (in front of half the school) and off he roars.

Reached the mid point of the school drive (gravel) where there is a stone memorial to the war dead of the school right in the middle of the road (imagine a small roundabout affair with a stone pillar in the middle), locks up all 4 wheels, goes straight on into the monument, knocking it over, carries on and comes to rest 5 yards from the headmaster's car coming up the drive in the other direction.

The car was written off and he was expelled.

Not written off, but close!...

My dad had one of these many years ago (black opel manta gte version, with the silly hella rally lights). I was about 6 at the time, and he parked up the hill to go into a shop, he was in a rush at the time.

As he left for the shop down the hill, the car started rollling down the hill, luckly i yanked the handbrake on, as i watched my dad sprint up the hill.

To this day im sure he tried to get rid of me

Wow!

7 days - you took your time my friend

My 1st accident was some while after taking my test.....but what the hell.

Driving home (parents house) 3ish in the morning......didn't want to wake anyone, so cut the ignition and took the keys out 50 yards from the drive, turned left....1/4 lock....<CLICK>...... ........ ......steering lock! ...... ........brake.......<no servo assistance>.......loud <CRUNCH> as my freewheeling (Mk 1 Escort) pride and joy demolishes one of Mum & Dads gate pillars!

Right, come-on Rich, dish the dirt..........

I did that in my first car. The brakes did the trick for me though.

Who's mullered some exotica then ?

Come on spill the beans.

There was a guy off the French s2k site who pranged his nice shiney Z06 on some black ice the other day, but he'd had it for a while. Got removed from their forum as it got personal.

Apparantly the French don't put down salt on bridges as in the long run it will corrode the structure, you've been warned.

And here it is

Yup that was my Lovely new Elise 111S that I managed to stuff in a ditch on the way home from buying it its a write off.
Not my first rear wheel drive car, had a Tuscan, a 350Z and still have a Westfield that I built, just lost it going round a bend at 35-40ish and not even driving like an idiot!
