the fact i didnt know this before shows you're wrong Pie

i cant explain what it is i dont like, it looks a bit toy with big wheels on a small car. the back end looks wrong too. its glaring to me but Moff always reckoned he liked it. his was white, i think it's better in black as that hides it's poor lines imo

i think i'm an old fart though when it comes to it. a v8 NA > 6 turbo for me

i know that rules out a 911 turbo

regardless, this is the most interesting thread on here for ages!
Despite what's on paper the lads mags, evo included state that the 1m is as quick if not quicker than the m3 in the '"real world" - whatever that is., this being down to the joy of turbo, with the power being more easily accessible, rather than having to rag the tits off it (sound familiar)

I wouldn't say no to either at the minute, a chipped and lowered diesel is alright but it's missing that je ne sais quoi

I quite like the 1m bum

I'm currently deliberating between an M135i, an M3 and a new Cayman. Last test drive is the Cayman this saturday.

This whole exercise makes me want to punch two entire groups of people: the dealers that won't let me have a proper drive, seat feel is everything; and the c units that decided that powerful RWD cars don't need an LSD. Idiots.

I actually quite like them esp in white, must have surely had a few thousand spent on the just engine alone?

Our local Porsche dealers are pleasant and I've not had a problem.

I've heard some BMW dealers are c unts: although I've reasonably enjoyed driving some BMW models in the past, it's never occurred to me to demand a test-drive now I come to think of it...

When I was looking the dealer local encouraged hooliganism but the one I bought from was more nervous.

If you like an LSD I think you need an M3

Or even if you just like LSD as Nina tells me it's a drug dealers car

Minter

Well, this topic certainly seems to have sparked discussion, so I'm glad I posted!

The question will haunt me though; 1M or E92 M3?

Actually, it won't; since I can sadly afford neither!

Good post, enjoyed that Tango.

I want to like the 1M but I just don't visually. I tend to buy cars on spec and looks second, but it just looks a bit retarded. Which is odd, as flared arches are something I really like (CSL / AMG etc)

I'd struggle to buy one over a Cayman, which I appreciate has 2 less seats, or an M3.

135i looks good though. Good review in Evo this month.
