and the c units that decided that powerful RWD cars don't need an LSD. Idiots.
You see, Lotus say this too though. But I still think they are lying!
Well loti get over it by not being powerful, and by having the weight over the rear wheels.

Maybe a 2nd hand m3 is the way forward. I keep my cars for several years so I take my time choosing. Would hate to get it wrong.

Impressed that Jason cleaned it on the sloping drive so the water ran off into the road then parked up tidily (tyre tracks )

Ha! I cleaned it in my garage, took me bloody hours. The paint was really badly filthy so I spent probably 2 hrs per panel section giving it a clay bar, light polish with gentle swirl remover then i think 3 layers of wax. The bonnet was bad, I think it was parked nudging trees or a hedge. I've not done the front bumper properly.

It really wants wax then some of that protector stuff but at least it's in a decent state now, nice glassy feel. I find it quite therapeutic

So much for the diamond brite crap the dealer used

i just checked. it's not quicker according to evo. it's about 40bhp/ton down, slower 0-60, slower 0-100 and slower round Evo's track by a small margin.
the fact i didnt know this before shows you're wrong Pie

i cant explain what it is i dont like, it looks a bit toy with big wheels on a small car. the back end looks wrong too. its glaring to me but Moff always reckoned he liked it. his was white, i think it's better in black as that hides it's poor lines imo

i think i'm an old fart though when it comes to it. a v8 NA > 6 turbo for me

i know that rules out a 911 turbo

regardless, this is the most interesting thread on here for ages!
Despite what's on paper the lads mags, evo included state that the 1m is as quick if not quicker than the m3 in the '"real world" - whatever that is., this being down to the joy of turbo, with the power being more easily accessible, rather than having to rag the tits off it (sound familiar)

I wouldn't say no to either at the minute, a chipped and lowered diesel is alright but it's missing that je ne sais quoi

I quite like the 1m bum
'Quicker in the real world' is one of the most pointless bits of journo-speak ever

It's also invariably quoted by people who are really struggling with owning the inferior car

A car is quicker than another car through a series of increments or it isn't

Needing to 'rag the tits off a car' doesn't make it slower in the real world

Anymore than needing to use third gear in an S2000 rather than fifth in some diesel shitbox makes the diesel quicker in the real world
