Just come back from a test drive in an Elise SC (they didn't have an R available at the time)

I am very tempted. They are offering me an Elise R with the Touring pack, metallic paint, the lightweight wheels in the black spec for my car and

I come home after a ride in my Elise and smile. No other car ever did that.

Simple. I love it. Major engine mods planned this year.

Looks like we really do need a Lotus corner....

Lower, if you are after a black one have a look half way down. Might be alright? I'm glad I went through a dealer though - year Lotus warranty is quite reassuring.

Mark, what was the problem and how did they fix it?

Rich, I have no problem with the 111R comfort at all. Sure, coming from the S2000 there is a difference. But now I'm used to it, I don't even get bothered on the longer journeys.

If you have A/C then you'll have no problem.

I don't, but it's garaged so I have no hassle in the morning but have had to wait a while for the screen to demist when coming back from work in the winter.
