Not sure on demisting yet. I have A/C so imagine it will be ok. It has a ridiculous amount of vents though!

I keep the dash ones shut as you end up with dust on it.

Well its got a Larini Club Sport box and ITG filter at the moment and better
brakes and hoses. Sounds fantastic.

I want the Larini 4-2-1 manifold and a DVA head conversion. This should see
it to 180 bhp at 800 kg, thats better than the 111R and retains lots of torque.

Ulltimatly I would like the Honda conversion but as i've said before its 10K+
and at the moment I have a morgage and thats all. The way things are I dont
want any 'burden'. The head and pipe is around

Cool, sounds good. Hope not too loud though? I've heard a few Ezige guys gone back to standard becuase of too much drone?

ITG filter sounds like a good move, i've gone for the Lotus TRD airbox and filter, which was only about

Kelk, I had a passenger ride in the Elise SC, brand new orange one. It was a touch less noisy than mine for some reason, but it felt really good. Can't describe the difference, but it felt a bit less nuts, not in a bad way. Has the same power obviously, just a tiny bit more refined.

I just preserred the Exige as it's a bit more aggressive.

Interested to see what you think when you drive an Exige S (you might have already)
I have to admit I was underwhelmed with the Elsie SC - yes it is a great car, I found it gets around the low end grunt lacks of the 111R but at

Option 1 sounds good (same as mine!)

Touring pack wasn't for me, I like the sport pack plus A/C as an option.

You can get the soft top conversion for day to day driving. The manual / dealers say it's ok to do it even though it reduces a bit of flow to the S/C cooler.

PS - this is how i'm heel toeing in the Lotus. Or trying to!

I know this is a Caterham but the pedals are similar.

I use the side of my foot, rahter than pivoting and using my heel to stab, like on the S2000...

I made a point of trying heel and toeing in the elise SC today. I use the side of my foot rather than the heel in the S and i found the same technique worked perfectly well in the elise.

The only issue was the modulation of the brake pedal in the elise, but a large amount of that was down to me being unfamiliar with the car.

The thing about the M3 today was that it wasn't proper excitement today. But then again, I'm in need of an alrounder. My next contract will hopefully be a bit closer to home so I'll be able to swap it for something more hardcore. And the Exige S really ticks those boxes on that front. I may cancel my lotus test drives I have booked for next weekend. I think the M3 fits my needs right now.

But at the end of the day, I'm going to be hiring caterhams for track days. So maybe a hardcore car wouldn't make sense for me?

Whatever, it's really great to see you enjoying your new car Mark.

I felt a bit mean posting up TBW, though you might be reading it

Chilled, I guess it's all about what you need in a given situation. If I was commuting and I got the Egixe it may piss me off and spoil the experience? An M3 is still a dream car for most people and i'd bet I will have one when I need something more sensible. I also think you will be more excited when it's in your own mitts. It's pretty tricky working a car out when a dealer is sat next to you.

Still think your plan is pretty spot on. Having an Exige and hiring Caterhams is something i've though about, but I have to remember what I bought the car for, and it wouldn't be the best choice to do that. The only thing that led me to think about Caterhams is the worry about spanking the Lotus, so I just plan to get it insured and go enjoy myself!

Lower - i'm the same, I can use the side of the foot but learning the brake modulation is the next step.
