Just as I started it and saw Gaz and Kelk and BW get them I thought, fack, I would go that route now.

I will get one though. They look like they are made of shit and the ones I've sat in feel like a canoe upturned on a rollerskate, but I don't really care as long as it goes like shit off a shovel.

I think it's actually better screwed together than most cars i've owned. I love the interior

But it would be odd if it was nice and fancy inside - it's part of the occasion of driving it.

And as you say, when you are clinging on for grim death and laughing your head off, you don't really care either way

That one you linked is well priced.

I'm pondering over an 08 Super Sport for the future. Those AP brakes, forged wheels and few other tweaks are calling me

The 240R version has a recorded 0-60 in 3.9 and 100 in 9.8 so mine is up there with those sort of figures, and I prob have 250-260 bhp.
that is a proper quick car then.

Me too, traditional grammar school teachings.....

But who is to say what is a rule?

It's not like a law of nature or science, is it?

Dear Sir<>Yours faithfully and the named salutation<>Yours sincerely is another convention

But in that case, so well established and convenient, that it's not worth challenging

Back o/t, the quoted figures for the Lotus are impressive - but there is a low five second time 0-60 quoted for the S2000 too (from Autocar iirc)

We all know that that such a figure is almost impossible to achieve consistently, if at all, and that achieving it would do the clutch no favours

Are your quoted times for the Lotus 'best times', averages or what?

And how accessible is the ultimate performance (whatever the figures)?

On new tyresit actually rides quite nicely without much in the way of rattles. But it's no Audi. And neither would you want it to be when it's tearing through corners at speeds you just thought weren't possible.

Because of the lack of weight, standing starts are very easy on the clutch. I don't do a lot of them, but any I have done are spritely and I've no reason to doubt the figures, even after over 2yrs of ownership. I'd put the S on a standing start at least a second behind the 111R to 60mph.

It's the entry to corners that astonishes most people. The lack of weight means you really can demolish huge gaps to the car in front on entry to something like a sharp corner or roundabout.
