Default Exit planet M3 :(

Thats right, Im selling the M3

Its a real shame, I love the car - the problem is I never use a car these days. Its been used twice this month and done about 10 miles tops. So it just seems a waste to have the money sat there, dropping by the day. If I used it more and had some fun in it Im sure Id be keeping it, but I dont and cars have become a bit like "just a form of transport" these days. Thats hard coming from a once die hard petrol head

So - I still need/want a car. The parameters need to be as follows:

Fits in my single garage(so cant be much bigger than the M3).
Costs less that 10K
Probably should be a disiesal - but not 100% but fast big engine disisals appeal - Im open to interesting ideas.
Be an estate - I may as well go practical so I can fit my bikes in.
Fit in a sensible tax band.
Have some go - dont want a slow barge.

Other than that it wont do that many miles, so running costs not such an issue and insurance band doesnt matter either.

Ideas from the forum please

Do you have any idea on the value of the M3 at a guess and seeing the kind of money they are now going for you maybe in for a fisting.

It may just work out cheaper to keep it.

Yeh Im in for a hit and thats a bitter pill Ill have to swallow, but it aint ever going to go up - so Id be delaying the inevitable if I kept it. As it is, it still has 1 year till next minor service, fresh tyres etc etc so wont be much to haggle on - in a year Ill need to service it, possibly tyre it and it will have dropped 1 years worth.

Don't ask me anything to do with cars and financial advice. I am normally pretty damn financially astute until it comes to cars where lets just say I am 'risky' in fact a crack habit might be cheaper than the petrol one.....

Good luck with your selection

Mondeo ST Estate.

I'd go for the V6, but you may want the TDCi.

Not that I've been looking!

Bit worried on the Ford depreciation - TDCis may hold onto money better?
