F1: Bahrain GP

Heidfeld again has shown his quality. I think he's one of the best drivers out there, every overtake is a textbook demonstration of class.
I've been impressed by this guy over the last few races.
Seems to genuinely have no personality, although he can certainly drive
Also, do you get the impression that Honda and Toyota are run by politiciens who don't understand the first thing about designing an F1 car.
That Honda is truely embarrassing
Yep, I get the feeling that Honda have fallen into the "jobs for the boys" mentality that Toyota were in a few years ago. Firing good whiteys and replacing them with rubbish japs.
I see the british press are now touting Hamilton as favourite for winning the championship now...

Just back from hols, so only just seen the Malaysian and Bahrain GP's, and all I can say is, Hamilton was absolutely awesome in both races, firmly putting Massa and Raikkonen in the shade, as well as Alonso in Bahrain. If anyone still doubts that Lewis is a special talent amongst the pool of many talented drivers in F1, they really are a fool.
And for anyone who likes to support a Brit driver (in a Brit car) in this sport, we can all throw away our Jenson flags and caps, and buy some Lewis replacements
What is really amazing me is that one rookie driver can have such an impact - he really is getting involved in all the excitement at the front of the races, and is without doubt improving the spectacle for the worldwide audience.
Pete - are you really serious, or just trying to be contrary / controversial as usual?
Even apart from the excitement at the front of the race, there was non-stop action and overtaking in the midfield throughout, DC being involved in quite a lot of it - not sure what more you expect from F1 racers in F1 cars, perhaps to take each other out with machine guns?

another procession

how the commentators possess the audacity to describe that as exciting I will never know

1. MASSA Ferrari
2. HAMILTON McLaren
3. RAIKKONEN Ferrari
and the finishing position was?
There has always been more overtaking at the back and middle of the field. However, that is only occasionally shown on TV and hardly the point of watching the race.
I think you'll find that I am far from being in a minority when describing F1 as boring and predictable. Thetre's another thread kicking about for reference.
Still, when combined with backing England to lose major sporting events, it's proving an easy way to take money from the bookmakers.
I'll be in a Zonda soon at this rate.
