We have a great record in sport
Including:
Rugby world champions and runners-up in the last two world cups
World dominant track cyclists
Ditto rowers
Sailing champs
Boxers
Touring cars
WRC
Athletics
Great personalities in all of the above, and virtually unanimous acclaim for their achievements
LH and his supporters should ponder that

I'm going to remind again - it was his 1st season in an F1 car!
I can't liken that to any situation in my life, it's just such a huge thing.
If all he had to do was drive the car, then that's still pretty amazing, but he had to deal with all the internal team carry on, press exposure, and surely the whole F1 procedures and rules etc would be a bit confusing.
So he made some mistakes? You can't expect him to drive like a veteran??
Give the guy a break.
If people are bigging him up over your expectations, then blame them, not Hamilton.

I think the Senna comparisons are very, very premature, but , there seem to be folks here who forget the unforced errors even the mighty Ayrton made (races at Monaco and Silverstone spring to mind).
Hamilton has raced 4 times at Monaco - yielding 3 wins and a 2nd place - not that shoddy at a place which is acknowledged to be a supreme test of driving skill and concentration.
