Apart from having a yellow crash helmet, I fail to see where the f**k the comparisons come from. What an utter flange.

I'm really disappointed with Kimi and Alonso today. Both showed experience and skill in places, but they also both made stupid mistakes. Massa did exactly as I expected, but did well to at least hang on to Kubica and take 3rd.

So now we'll have ITV banging on about Hamilton now he's leading the championship. Great.

Was a good win for Hamilton

He had some luck, but no more than anyone else really, apart from poor Sutil

Kimi needs a kick up the arse, or needs to kick himself up the arse

Whatever, I'm not sure a Monaco win in the rain, or in any conditions really, is too much of an indicator of future fortunes

I still think it's easy for Ferrari, and that Kimi will prevail among the drivers

that's true.. particularly since Mclaren seem to put extra effort into winning this race.. in the same way Ferrari has always done for Monza..

however it also demonstrates the need for consistency through the season - the top 3 have all now won 2 races.. but Hamilton is still slightly ahead - and last season showed how close it can be.

Hamilton having a few bad results.. Kimi looked like he was gone, now one bad race and he is playing catch up.

IMO that is the problem with F1 these days, it should be about winning races, not simply finishing them. They need to change the points system so that the driver who wins the most races in the year becomes world champion, not whoever has the most reliable car becomes world champion (they could possibly have a seperate point scoring system for the constructors, that would make sense) but the current points systems causes mediocre/safe driving, and therefore boring races.

The sycophancy and hero worship is less hysterical than a year ago, but no less nauseating and misplaced

Ferrari will with this year's title in a canter

About the only fireworks I can envisage will be if Kimi fails to put his team mate in his place sooner rather than later
I still find it odd that so many people here appear to kick against Hamilton because of the (admitedly irritating) ITV coverage.

He is a good driver.

He is the most exceptional driver Britain has produced for several generations.

Ferrari should win this years titles with relative ease - they have a clear car advantage.

If they don't, it will be due to some exceptional work by McLaren & some tremendous driving by Lewis (sadly, I think Hekki is now too far adrift to challenge this year). In the 30 years I have been watching F1, have seen very few drivers with suffucient ability to compensate for a less than competitive car - Shumacher and Senna spring to mind.

Disappointed with Kimi today. He was never at the races. I think Massa out qualifying this weekend really threw him. As a Kimmi fan I'd like to think he's had his fair share of bad results now.

I agree the remaining coverage of the races is going to be nauseating now Hamilton is leading the drivers championship.

What on earth was Lewis doing in the pre race build up stroking his chin looking at all 'da fine booty' on display. The guy makes me wretch.

James Allen really does suck scrotum. Hamilton and he seems to be jumping on the Massa bandwagon too. Looking forward to the inevitable Senna comparison's with the Brazilian dwarf.

You can tell that James Allen has absolutely no technical understanding. It makes me cringe when he talks about 'wheelspin'. Does he really think that the majority of viewers have no conception of what constitutes basic 'wheelspin'. He never mentions over/understeer merely 'wheelspin'. I really can't stand that guy.

1. It's not just the coverage. He would be an irritating smug twat whatever he did for a living. Unfortunately, he is a racing driver with an unusual profile, so we have to listen to him. I do not believe in making alowances for youth and I do not reserve my ire for Hamilton. Most professional footballers are similarly irritating, as is Andy Murray. I like my sportspeople like the British cycling team, or in the case of individuals, someone like Ellen Macarthur or Roger Black

2. Undoubtedly

3. Since Button

Even Senna was a rookie once. The hype is nausiating but Hamilton
has something. Not since Mansell have I felt any emotion.
