F1 Silverstone GP 2005
More likely she doesn't find his filled-to-overflowing bank account objectionable......
It will be interesting to see what happens to F1 once BE calls it a day, and I suppose to a lesser extent Max Mosley too. I'm not sure it's entirely healthy, having one man wield so much power over F1 - but I guess that's business.

It'll probably be dropped until nearer the time and then reinstated following lots of bitching on F1 ITV.. or perhaps not. Not a big deal if you ask me. We went this year and it was
but we're still paying off the loan we took out for the tickets

Am going to do Monaco next year. Anyone want to join me?
As someone who has been to every British GP except one for the last 23 years (plus the odd one before 1980) I am saddened that we may not have a home GP in the future.
Sure Silverstone isn't ideal, the facilities will never match the 'designer' circuits like Shanghai, Sepang, Bahrain, but it has soul........more to the point, the spectators are by and large knowledgable enthusiasts - I have travelled to a few foreign races and, with the exception of Spa (where you tend to bump into the same people as you do at Silverstone
) this is not the case.
I strongly believe that Bernie and F1 are wrong to discard F1's heritage - sure things have to change, its the nature of the sport, but Silverstone, Spa, Monza and Monaco all add character to the season and should be firm fixtures. This idea would be abhorrent to Bernie I am sure, insisting that this would simply cause massive complacency and lack of investment, and maybe he has a point.
Silverstone invariably produces a good race - the cars can stretch their legs here - in front of a large, enthusiastic crowd. The trouble is, 100,000 or so people pitching up to have a good weekend out and actually watch the race barely registers on Bernie's cash-radar

Love to! Group trip? Have you been before, and do you know where to stay etc?

(actually, sadly, am selling the car next week and this is the last major thing I haven't done - I hope the buyer doesn't mind the 2000km extra on the clock compared to when he came to view!)
Regarding the British GP - am surprised. Most of the teams are British owned or Britain based, and those who aren't have a lot of British employees. We'll see how this decision affects interest and investment in the sport.
Personally I expect it will all turn out to be a bluff.
I am glad they've dropped silverstone.
make the owners improve their service, and their offering.
Bernie's made a truly magnificant global sport, china spent millions on their circuit.
If we have so many enthusiasts, and as our grandprix's cost so much, how come silverstone can't afford more, or provide better facilities?
and I thought brands hatch was home to british motorsport?
Bernie's supported silverstone for a number of years, but it doesn' really help unless they raise their game.

in my opinion this is yet another reflection on the way this country is heading..............down the pan
'Go East Young Man'...............
The World is cyclical....the fact that there are all these new racing venues appearing on the calendar is indicative of the fact that 'we' as in 'The West' have had our day and the economic power base is shifting East
Just how big is the UK market for the sponsors?....and considering that we are carrying as a nation collectively a Trillion
