Default Fiesta ST

As the title says really ... thinking of a 'new' Fiesta ST ... and the Mountune kit - Makes the performance quite amusing for a Fiesta ... 6.4 to 60.

Anyone had a go in one ? They seem to get good reviews apart from people say the suspension is too hard.

I haven't been in one but one did leave me for dead down a slip road a few months ago...

Jimmy, before Christmas my reaction would have been the same as yours, but following an encounter at New Years I can confirm that they are a seriously quick little car. Forget a comparison to something like a Clio 200 or even an EP3, it seemed to have torque and acceleration that belied what the numbers said!

If you do go and test one, let us know how it goes. My parents are possibly looking at getting one of these and i'd be interested to know.

List is about 17k, you can pick them up for less than that from a broker though.

Everyone seems to rave about them compared to the new Clio/Corsa.

No, but I used to have a play with one each morning down the dually to the roundabouts when I had my focus.

It was not a new one though, it was a box shaped one that was far from standard and had Mountune stickers all over it (one would assume mountune tuned).

I can never say that the ST ever pulled away from me, and I was driving a 2.0TDCI (remapped which added 50 million hp and torque) . I never over took it either to be honest. It was kinda like we both had our foot planted but neither of us was making any headway on the other.

I have seen the bloke a few times in the S and he doesn't even try any more we just exchanges a thumbs up and go our separate ways to work.
