Default Filming

I noticed on Pistonheads the police are trying to prosecute a motorcyclist after allegedly riding dangerously by using his youtube footage.

I have seen video's from members on here and I myself have some videos in my S2000 uploaded, do you think it is time to get rid just in case?

Not that I have actually seen any dangerous driving merely entheusiastic.

i think you would be unlucky to get done, i think the cops do this to make a point, bit of PR exercise. Not to mention all the legal issues of proving stuff, like where and when it happened and who was driving etc etc. i wouldnt worry imho

One of the boikers lived at the end of my road and has had the book thrown at him - extensive self incriminating footage confiscated from his home, road signs, days/dates/names - witness corroboration made the case.

Bend Over........

I popped one off on my way home down the M6 once. I never got done.

In fairness, I also never filmed it.

I do remember a case back in the late 90's of a guy in a F40 who filmed himself in-car. He also had camera on the dials showing his speed. A copy found it's way into the hands of the Police who had more than enough evidence to prosecute him. But then you did see his face in the film along with his speed and the posted speed limits.

The biker filmed himself setting off from his house, so they knew where he lived. As long as there's no identifying information on there I think you'll be ok.

Probably best not to film yourself running grannies over though.
