Drove in fog this morning but it was the patchy stuff - several patches lasted a good 3 to 4 miles and visibility was down to less than 3 car lengths - you can't safely do 50+ through that no matter how good your lights are.

Sadly what happens is that as you turn on the rear fog light, the dimwits behind you use that as a speed target and follow you rather than drive to the conditions.

On the subject of lights, has any one else noticed the increase in misaligned headlights and vehicles with only one headlight, usually misaligned? Whatever happened to the MOT,and have the plod given up on motoring offences other than speeding?

You'd need plod on the roads for that to happen - there have been so many cutbacks over the last few years, they're a rare sight these days.

MIsaligned, bulb out, both bulbs out and fog lights on to keep them going - you name it. It's not just old stuff either, plenty of stuff < 3 years old that fails.. Have you seen the access in most modern cars - you either need the hands of a 5 year old or 3 hours garage time to get dead lamps out.

I have been blinded by one of these idiots nearly every night since it got dark early. It's very annoying when they are following behind you blinding you via your rear view mirror.

I have used my adjustable headlight widget to point mine further to the ground as my land yacht suspension flashes the beam upwards when I go over some bumps.

And this morning looking at those very solid objects it was about 150 meters on average the suns you could see from 500 meters! What am i saying here , not sure really apart form some education is required , not least with my spelling and typing ! I await a reply
Oi, Chippo! Sod off back to the annoyances thread where you belong!
