Yeah, I had an argument with a guy at work once, who told me they were "driving lights", I said er no they're fog lights !!!!
Driving lights my arse what a retard. Has he not noticed that they only light up the first 5 feet in front of the car ?

At least with rear fog lights, you can full beam them to 'educate' them. Front fogs annoy me more, but it's only really a problem when it's wet - the reflection off the wet road is really dazzling to me ( maybe it's because I wear glasses ? ).

I gave up on this years ago - if people are stupid enough to switch the things on at the first hint of rain, they are generally stupid enough not to pay attention to anyone flashing them

Only solution is to overtake them usually (interesting when its wet )

Front fogs don't generally bother me too much, although I can't understand why people would put them on when they don't need them.

I have used front foglights/driving lights in cars that have had them when conditions were very poor, but they didn't make a huge difference IIRC.

I hate fog lights too, especially side lights and front fogs on ARRGGHHH! The rears are the worse, I get so fed up in traffic on a slightly misty day and some daft dorris in her corsa is trying to blind me with her rear fog on

I did need to use the front fogs on in the beemer on Saturday night driving in the Lincolshire countryside, from no-where visibility dropped to 50 metres or so, and with a lack of cats eyes, they really help to show the sides of the road.

, fronts are fine as long as it doesn't blind anyone in front but rears are so bright you can't see the brakes on some cars. really pisses me off.

As for the driving lights depands what car he had, and if they where aftermarket or not, some but few cars are fitted with low level driving lights as standard, but you can buy driving lights that can be fitted and are totally legal as an aftermarket thing!

My GTI pug had front driving lights as standard.

TBH, there are a few S drivers who like to keep their xenon headlights on in daylight, because "it looks cool"
Those are more likely to dazzle than fog lights.

Seeing front foglights on annoys me. It is just a case of showing off that the driver had the extra

I find that in the rain, rear fog lights can dazzle even worse because your windscreen is wet and it amplifies the glare.
They might, especially if you are too close..................

Perfectly legal for the driver to use them in conditions of heavy rain though, in which case the intention is to make yourself more visible, to ensure no-one runs up your rear end, so hopefully people will keep their distance..........

Quite! They should be pulled onto the hard shoulder and subjected to electrodes applied to the genitals.
See! I KNEW you must have done a stint with the West Midlands Serious Crime Squad before it was disbanded, Ced!
