Mik, you're right mate, it is Bell & Colvill. Richard Dean, the sales guy we dealt with, was very relaxed about the whole experience and never put pressure on and ok, the facilities aren't as contemporary asd Porsche Guildford but then again I enjoyed this relaxed, let the car do the selling approach, and he never pestered me about the sale either. I heartily recommend them.
B&C are v good in my experience - quite unlike Honda dealers they actually seem to care about their customers. On one occasion they quoted me 1/2 hour labour to re-progamme some alarm fobs and, even though the car was in their workshop for about 2 hours (they found a wiring fault), they didn't charge me any extra. Another time, fitting tyres, they road tested the car and weren't quite happy with the wheel balance so "tweaked it" again to get it perfect (and they never scratched the alloys) - all on a "price match" too.

Top dealer IMO.

I remember testing a new S2K at a dealers and the salesman (who insisted on being a passenger) kept asking me not to rev the engine - why else would I have been interested in the car

Muppet! The Honda saleslady who took me out first time, told me "I don't know how we'll ever sell any of these, they're horrible" !!!!!!

B&C literally just gave us the keys for the 111R and the Exige-S and let us get on with it - it's worked for them (it didn't work for the Honda woman, I bought elsewhere) - no pressure at all

I'm all confused now. Do I trade my Corsa in?
No need mate - they're still the fastest thing on the road.

Getting in and out is a bit of an art form but nothing that isn't realistic. If Jo wears a skirt in it however as she gets out you would know not only which colour but the manufacturer and stitching style of her underwear.
If the g/f wears a skirt I have to go round and pretend to have manners and open the door for her, but it's actually just to cover her modesty. All part of the fun.

I used to do that with the X-1/9 too.

B & C are great. I drove an Elise there years ago.

You can stuff all yer (s)wanky glass tower dealerships. Scruffy Lotus & TVR ones are the way forward.

Enjoy the car Chris. Look forward to the next Herts meet!
