To be fair, sky will need to net only 250,000 new subscribers in order to break even.

If Sky don't get the increase in subscriber numbers they hope for, how long will it be before they are ready to dump F1?

Grrrr, F1 could have stayed on terrestial TV after all, but Bernie went for the money.

you often wonder with Bernie and his deals with multiple contenders, if there is a bit of bouncing round the room.. "bidders" who aren't really bidders.. that certainly must happen every time he talks to a grand prix promoter.
Sky won't back out, they presumably don't have all that high audience figures for any of their sports. A more interesting question is what will be the reaction of the teams' sponsors to the UK audience figures dropping drastically. Expect the teams to use this as a way of negotiating a much bigger slice of the pie from Bernie/CVC.
Quite a range:

I paid $1300 SD per ticket. Exchange rate is £1 = $2SD.
Lots of cheaper 1 day options though, and plenty available it seems.

Bloody hell, £650 a ticket?! They must be amazing tickets...I am sure it will be an amazing experience especially at night! It must be an awesome spectacle to see the cars so close under floodlights. Very jealous!
though would be worth it if you got a view of schumi repeating his absolutely outrageous power slide from last year..
