The bleeding obvious is often overlooked by teams (and members/fans) of teams that employ Adrian Newey. He is the single reason Red Bull are where they are, he is the single most important reason any team he has joined and built the car from the ground up have dominated F1 for several seasons during his employ. Once/if Newey leaves Red Bull they will go as Williams have, of that I am certain.
Rubbish, Mclaren haven't one a constructors since 98 and he was there after that time.

It takes more than one man to build a car into a race winning one. Having key people in all departments is what makes a winning team.

Yes newey is a god with aero but once he retires (imo red bull will be his last team) then I'm sure RB will be left at the same level as all the other teams as I don't think there will be another man like him in F1 for a while.
I'm just glad RB smashed up the usual pecking order in F1 and had to make Ferrari/ Mclaren work a bit harder for their positions.

Roll on next year, RB could take a step back but at least they have 2 consecutive world championships under their belt.
Talk about edging your bets, RB will be nowhere without Newey he is a genius and everyone who knows anything about F1 knows it too. Maclaren were the wrong team for Newey, that is why he left once out of contract. I stand by my statement, once Newey leaves RB they will be nowhere.
Having key people in place is something else that Adrian Newey does, but you know just as the rest of us do that Newey is the reason that car is the fastest car out there by some margin ..

Adrian Newey wasn't with Ferrari all those years Schumacher was winning.

Teams' performance goes in cycles in F1, and always has. Red Bull will fall off the perch, and McLaren and Ferrari will each dominate F1 again. Maybe even Williams too, although they seem to be stuck down in the mid field for the long term.

I wonder if the Red Bull bigwigs will want to stick it out long term. Having won the drivers championship twice (probably), and the constructors twice (probably), they could say they've acheived everything they wanted to acheive and look to sell up whilst still on top. They are after all a drinks company.

You do known that cg works for Red Bull?

Could be an interesting race tomorrow. It'll be a Red Bull Front row, but it was interesting to see Webber hitting the rev limiter when following another car down the straight, so they may have difficulty overtaking (this'll only be a problem for Webber if he has his customary crap start when Dietrich presses his "I Love Seb" button).

Vettel will disappear into the distance.

Eddie really is an odd chap isn't he

Coulthard is just Mr Smooth

Good work Senna.

Dumb question, but the last few drivers in Q1... are they excluded from the race or just further qualifying?

Just further qualifying Mark. However if anyone has a qualifying time over 105% of the time set by the pole sitter, then that driver can be excluded from the race.

Vettel on pole again

F1 is slipping back to being really boring and predictable, much like when Schumacher was winning.

Of course I know he works for RedBull, his bias is very obvious. However RBR are a drinks company with enough money to buy the greatest ever talent in F1 car design that is Adrian Newey and give him an open cheque book and Carte Blanche with the design.

Dembo as you well know, Ferrari are a racing team, they know how to design racing cars they have been doing it for a lot of years, they also know how to bend the rules and how to use their prestige to their advantage, and yes they also had a pretty good driver in MS.

MartinJ ... it won't rain.

Jaimie, I don't think Vettel will win tomorrow

I really hope he doesn't.

I've been switching off mid race a lot more this season, and although the onus is on everyone else to catch him, it seems clear he has the best car by some distance. I don't see him as a worthy F1 champion as he seems far too flapable when put under any pressure. Much like Alonso at Renault it's all about having the best car.

He's stolen a march on everyone else early on and now has a large lead over the rest of the chasing pack. Also it seems when your doing well, your also lucky, which he's had plenty of this year. There's no doubt the guy can drive, but I don't think he's the best on the grid by a long way. There's at least four better drivers out there imo.

Maybe their teams need to live up to their past heritage and do something about it then rather than slag off the opposition and moan all the time. ;0)

I'm loving the fact that we are on the verge of winning our 2nd championship in a row after 11 years of getting no where near, especially with the Jaguar embarrassment. I know most people if put in my shoes would be saying the same stuff I am.

It would be funny to see what some people here would be saying if Mclaren were consistently winning. I'm sure you would get the same old "yawn" comments. You can't please some people.
