Button was lucky he had a poor start which meant he ended up in a better position when the time came to overtake MSC. HAM did the equivalent of loosening the tight lid on a jamjar...

He also benefitted from MSC running HAM off the circuit.

HAM was somewhat more timid than usual today which ties in with his pre-race comments that he wanted to finish more than anything else.

A very poor performance from WEB all weekend long. He's really slotting into the role of Number Two Driver.

Next race: 25th August, according to the BBC.

Did Button have the same gear ratios? Hamilton was obviously stuck on the limiter, and no matter what you say about skill or whatever there's not a lot you can do about that. Button didn't seem to have the same problem. Great if slightly dubious driving by Schumacher though, and it was certainly entertaining.

Sounds like he's been gagged, shut up or else, although who's told him is a guess.

Yep he was struggling not to have a pop ot Schumacher.

I think he knows himself he has to keep quiet.

At least last weekend his comments were almost genuine

I thought it was a great race this one and this has been one of the most entertaining seasons in a long time. The fight between Ham and MSC was just amazing, so so close and some proper wheel to wheel racing with two drivers that were being very respectful of each other. Hamilton was a very different driver to the races of the past, but I think he drove a solid race...even if JB taught him how to race a car!

I think the WDC and WCC is pretty much over now, but with the amount of action happening on track, what does it matter!?

Michael Schumacher was bloody lucky not to get a penalty for his double move, for more analysis, the comments by Martin Brundle and Andrew Benson are interesting.

I was a bit miffed that the fans (Tifosi) were booing Vettel on winning, that is not right. For a group of fans who are meant to be the most passionate in F1, (something which I vehemently contest, I think the Brits are) to boo the winner because he was not in a Ferrari is just not sporting.

I could win on occasion in that feckin Newey car, somebody should ban Newey from designing cars

The race behind golden boy was quite good, lots of excitement especially behind heir shcumacher, but all credit to him he held the macca's off very well. What Webber was thinking about I have no idea, jeez he is a liability some days ... and whinge oh how he can whinge. Hamilton was suspiciously tight lipped and the BBC need to stop trying to create bad feeling between him and Button. Hamiltion will not like if JB beats him this year, but given his new 'friends' and 'celebrity management' it's no surprise to me he has been distracted this season.

I hope Kubica can get back in a car for the next season, I miss his talent.

I think Vettel has been extremely lucky this year. They say you make your own luck, but that is a bullsh1t statement because if you did, it'd be called work and not luck

And whatever good luck he has had, Webber has had the bad luck. I don't think his KERS was working properly the first five GP and from then on his car will not get away from the line.

Perhaps a bit daft of him to go round the outside of Massa. Although Massa should have given him more room.

If I were McLaren, i'd be signing up Paul DiResta. In terms of attitude, he's a million miles beyond Hamilton. More intelligent and no doubt about his pace either

I dont think Mclaren will be changing their line up any time soon, but Di Resta would make an interesting newbie to the team, in a few years maybe...when Hamilton has replaced Webber at RBR.

Diresta needs a personality transplant!

He's an OK driver, not much more than that in my view.
