Toro Rosso has announced that Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne will drive for the team in 2012, replacing Jaime Alguersuari and Sebastien Buemi.
That's a surprise. I didn't think Ricciardo had really done much , although in HRT it's hard to tell. And Alguersuari and Buemi have both been doing reasonably okay.

So that's two more drivers looking for that one remaining seat at Williams.
Ricciardo is on of the Red Bull Junior drivers and is seen as being one of their best, likewise Vergne. Torro Rosso's job is to find the next Vettel... Buemi and Alguesuari are not that so they're being cast aside. In reality, Ricciardo has out peformed his team mate this year... which, for a rookie, is not bad...

We'll see over the next year or two how he stacks up...

A little surprised about Toro Rosso's driver line up for 2012. I guess they really are just a feeder team for Red Bull, even though they claim they are their own team.

Force India announce their driver line up for 2012. Hulkenberg and Di Resta.

BBC Link

I guess that means Suttil's only hope of a drive next year will be with Williams........or HRT. Same goes for Petrov, Buemi & Alguersuari.

Reports from Italy saying Kubica has broken his leg now, further delaying his comeback. Didn't say how he broke it, but probably skateboarding or bungee jumping ...

Basically he slipped on a sheet of ice and has picked up a micro fracture on his right tibia.

Sounds like active suspension to me.

About time Formula 1 had another big controversy.
