"Our correspondent" James Allen said on Radio 2 this morning that if you look closesly there's a green flag being shown on the exit of the pitlane, before Vettel overtook. I can't see it.

I've watched F1 long enough to believe they'll some how find a way of letting Vettel get away with this one, just like they found a way to let Red Bull get away with the engine maps.

Check again, a little hard to see, but it is indeed there.

Between 8 and 10 seconds on this clip. You'll see the yellow light on the right, the Marshall post is on the left a little after, but a good 50m before the Johnny Walker sign.

Okay so that makes it clear; it's the footage with the big graphic on it that hid the marshal's post.

So why is there all this fuss? It's been all over the headlines.

There will be a "still" of the marshalls booth then that will come to light later on today. Its very difficult to tell, but I cant make out a yellow falg. So it must be green, if at all one is being waved.
Therefore it will be legal pass indeed

How are the Vettel haters going to deal with that? 3 titles and 2 brilliant drives from dead last and still refered to as a pussy and a cheat, and now this, a legal overtake!
Maybe some people need to chill and look up "flag" and "light". They are not the same.

I still don't like Vettel and he was very lucky to avoid a penalty weaving infront of Lewis in Texas.

It's just that I also like to be fair and he hasn't done anything wrong here.

with above.

If that is a waved green flag before the last yellow light, and the rules state that a marshal with a flag over rules the lights, then the overtake was legal end of debate.

Vettel is still a cock though />
