The Button situation is getting very interesting.
Boullier is clearly a stupid c@#t and doesn't think Jenson is quick enough. He's hinted at it several times, although I can't see any basis for it. Teds interview with him today was great as he tried to push him into admitting Button had done well today, and Boullier didn't like it. Twat.

I suspect Ron disagrees. Results wise you cannot argue Button is the man for the job and he should be given the chance in the Honda given they have given him a shit car year on year.
Qualifying was also interesting overall. Hats off to Rosberg, I think he will have taken a bit of sleep away from Hamilton tonight, although he will know he's got the edge over Rosberg in the races.

I'm going to play devils advocate here. Button is a top driver when the setup is right.
But remember 2012? Starts off in Melbourne with Red Bull beating pace only to fall back into the midfield?
If Hamilton hadn't still been winning races it would have been easy to call the car a dog.
I think Buttons problem is setup. Magnussen is in his first year and can still learn that art, Button is as good as he'll ever be.
The real travesty is stringing him along without news though. He deserves better.

And on occasion the guy will park it in the wrong box...

I do agree though that Hamilton is better in a worse setup car, which is mainly due to driving style.
Nobody will convince me that Magnusen is the right choice. Put Jenson in the Merc and he'd be all over Lewis too.
The press I've read seems to say the Boulier wants to keep Jenson but Dennis wants magnussen. Magnussen get £1m a year, Jensen got £20m over the last 3. Alonso is no doubt going to be very expensive.
I suspect it comes down to money.

I wonder if Rosberg will try this today, assuming he leads from the start.
Control the pace such that Bottas and Massa will have a chance to overtake Hamilton, but go quickly enough to keep Hamilton behind.
Hamilton does have a slight tyre advantage as he didn't make a total mess of his first Q2 lap, like Rosberg did.

I think he will have a range of tricks like that. If he pulls it off, hats off to him but I think Lewis will be in psycho mode today and Rosberg may not see him for dust. I think on,y mechanical failure will stop him. Safety car may play a big part today too.
