its going to be a shame not being able to see Jenson and Alonso head to head in the first race to see who really has the pace in the McLaren.

 

What happens if Magnussen has the pace in McLaren? He did in Australia last year.

In other words they know the car had about a 50/50 of finishing, even less of a chance of finishing in the points so despite the fact he is currently fine and able the risk of a second impact actually causing injury isn't worth it.
