Maldonado and Perez will make Monaco plenty interesting.
Just look at Formula-E's opening lap in Monaco, lol.

Much like how he said after quali 'you can't always win, sometimes 2nd is ok too'...

Stumbled across this:

Mid-race fuel stops, wider tyres, more engine noise for 2017 all agreed

Bring it on!

I don't like the idea of mid race fuelling. We've seen too many near misses in the past. It puts the pit crew at too high a risk, and with a bit of luck they'll rethink it before 2017. Wider tyres and more engine noise

I don't think safety is too big an issue; there was only ever one big fire. But I think the sport got worse when they introduced refuelling, and has been better since they got rid of it.

Making the cars faster and noisier is good, though I wonder if getting more power and more revs out of the engines is going to push the costs up in a way that they're hoping to avoid, and might also give Mercedes even more of an advantage.

Is it me or are they blinded by the obvious? They're trying to come up with all these tweaks and they think punters care about outright speed. To be honest, anything over 200mph top speed is pretty damn fast, and through corners like Becketts, even these 'slow' F1 cars are staggering. I don't think anyone is even that fussed about the noise anymore, it was just a talking point. What they really want to see is cars battling at the front of the grid, cars that are able to run nose to tail and go 2-3 abreast round corners. It's the aero that really needs reigning in, particularly the 'messing up' of the flow off the rear wing. The regulation change back in 2010(?) helped, but more of the same is required. The extra torque has started to introduce errors by all but the finest drivers, which is good, and more power will exacerbate this, and if they want a physical test, just ban power steering!

Yes we have only one major fire, but the next one could kill someone. It's just not worth the risk imo. The racing did improve after they removed them.

I have to agree. Making cars narrower so you can more easily overtake/get alongside, and improve air flow off the back wing so cars can drive closer behind each other and not ruin their tyres would greatly help. Tweaking the aero is the key now.
