I'm quite looking forward to the season starting, despite the horrible looking halo I'm hoping will be a good year.

My better half has treated me to a trip to the Monaco grand prix in may for my 40th, looking forward to that too!

Hoping for a realistic challenge on Mercedes this year, especially by Ferrari. Wishful thinking maybe.

Monaco GP is a must do. Did the same on my 40th. Need deep pockets though !

We're settling for a road trip down to Paul Ricard this year.

by far the best F1 event I have done so far. Such an amazing city and a great race to be at.

Hoping to be at COTA again this year.

Unlike most, I don't hate the halo. Kinda like it, in fact.

Yep, it's going to be handy when you pick up your miniature scalextrix cars.

Just how easy are they going to be to remove when crushed in a crash or the car is engulfed in fire?

well... you may be right. We'll see. I just can't imagine the engineers haven't been through that. The drivers have all demo'd emergency evacs, as well. I'm sure it's been found not to slow things down... Crushed, now that's a good question.

Read all about here, Rich:

Furthermore, feedback from extensive track testing revealed that visibility was substantially unaffected, and there was no significant visual obstruction due to the central strut. Track testing also revealed no issues regarding egress from the cockpit and multiple extrication tests were conducted with the Halo in place, with a revised procedure formulated to ensure safe extrication.
