One has to admire them... now they want to replace F1 by a scalextric competition.

It was obvious to me from the way the articles were written. Glad you got there in the end.

Back OT, I expect Formula E and Formula 1 will eventually merge into one entity, but probably not for a couple of decades a least, as it'll match the rise of EVs in the general marketplace.

EDIT: I read this morning that Formula E has exclusive E-Racing rights with the FIA until 2039.

I'm sure it isn't as simple as that but not as critical as Mercedes make out.
It's not the races that will be affected. It's the import/export of people and parts and intellectual property between the EU and the UK that will likely become slower and more costly, thus affecting UK teams' ability to develop their cars and their teams, which currently exist within a single market.

Please, no more Brexit talk

I see Paddy Lowe has "taken a leave of absence, for personal reasons".

Terribly sad news about Charlie Whiting, he seemed to be a very nice man. Big shoes to fill.

It is an internet law that every F1 thread/conversation in the world has to have someone blathering on about MotoGP. Something a good many F1 fans do not care about in the slightest.
