Nick , that would be 20mm conduit , not trunking.

Did you try and pull double insulated twin and earth cable through the conduit ? as normally you wouldn't . In conduit you tend to run single cables i.e 2491X or 6491X , which is normally easy to run a ring main in 20mm conduit with say 6off 2.5mm2 cable, and even afew 1.5s thrown in for good measure , there is maxium laid down capacities for all conduit and trunking but i can't remember what these limits are, but if you have wired the sockets as radials one T & E is fine albeit tight to pull through.

sorry mate, brain fart there... yeah it was the conduit. It was double insulated twin and earth cable I pulled through... can see why singles cables would be used in this stuff, ah well as long as there is no safety issue with the way I have done it then I am happy even if I have achy arms and sore hands.

Well she is officially in the garage and already has the arse in the air for the start of the project.

Couple of pictures and I am surprised as to how much room I have around the car to work on, I thought it was going to be badly cramped but I can do most things including opening the doors enough to take off panels and work on inners etc.

Started on the tool collection, going to be expanding very soon, in fact I am ordering more bits online as I post.

A couple shots of her in the garage...

My motorbike even managed to fit infront of the car so great success!

They may not stay like that, but I am hoping (and trying) to keep them like that. Nothing more annoying than trying to find the correct socket or allen key in a field of tools... time will tell though...

Floor will start this Friday since it's bank holiday in Scotland so hopefully this weekend the S2k can be garage bound.
You needed one of these.

Nothing wrong with T+E in conduit. Well done for keeping the sockets on the ring. Amount of times I come across a 'ring' that is a no longer a ring….

Quite fortunate that the main wiring is pretty good and not too much has been altered. The kitchen and bathroom wiring is just shocking (excuse pun), more so the finish of wiring etc. It seems that if they can hide it then just hide it, also the hacking of the house for the central heating installation is just mind blowing. Thank god I do all the DIY in my house.

me or you? I was tempted to paint the floor, but just couldn't be bothered. The cost of it for tiles (ceramic or plastic) was too much, paint just seemed like it would end badly unless I paid someone to prep it thoroughly and it still wouldn't provide any insulation. Did think about carpet tiles for a while, but I will be working extensively on the car so it will get ruined.

Once the car is done, I will have a look at flooring again and probably get carpet tiles but the anti-fatigue matting will have to do for now to make it warm/comfortable.
