IIRC the R6 from 03 onwards had fuel injection.

USD forks tend to be found on the more expensive, higher spec bikes. They should perform better than conventional forks.

So a low mileage 05 shape is the best bet then....that's what I'm looking for.

It would make a good first bike and should keep you happy for a couple of years.

Oh ok,

I only have the one picture, you're not allowed to do them really!

Another couple to through into the mix:
Suzuki SV650 and Daytona 675.

Any thoughts?

SV650 would be more of a beginners bike. About 72bhp but being a V-Twin you will get more torque and won't have to ride the bike hard to go quickly. Cheap to buy, run and insure. I'd say it would be a good buy anyway.
The Trumpet is meant to be awesome, although there is some huge recall on them at the moment.
Personally, with winter coming up I'd buy an SV and upgrade in Spring/Summer.

I used one for commuting for a year or so.

Good starter bike, fun, comfy, a bit gutless above 110.

You might find one of these a bit on the small side though and I would expect that you would be wanting to change it within the year.

Steven, thanks for that.

Had my first test ride of an R6 today....JESUS CHRIST!

The power in a millimetre movement of the throttle!

Felt good, and comfortable though.

Thanks for the advice today, Dan.
