Question Going to look at an STi tomorrow

Booked into a test drive on an 05 STi with PPP tomorrow, diff control model but not the new-new shape (2 litre not 2.5)

Been offered a very good price as a px on the S over the phone, so strongly tempted to make the move now and part company before the prices drop due to lack of sun and the a winter of dull S ownership comes round.

I only do around 8 miles a day, so running costs (in terms of fuel) not really to big an issue for me.

It's not total chav as it's Crytsal Grey, not WR Blue and don't have gold wheels on!

Just wondering how I'll get on not being able to take it to the magical 9k mark

Will update when I get back tomorrow......

Winter S ownership is not dull, its just time to practice drifting. The only weather I won't go out in is snow, and that doesn't even stops the Jocks.

Been there done it! Nice cars, but very different from the S - I probably wouldnt have another other than a P1 now, just a bit too common for me.

Christ, that's not enough to warm a car up!

Don't kid yourself

If your experience is anything like mine, it takes some adjusting. Even though my BMW redlines at about 7500 rpm (highish for a big V8) I still change up too early when first geting back in the S

I really enjoyed owning the S in the winter. I had the roof down all the time, and I learned how to drive properly. A lovely crisp Sunday morning in January is a cracking time to have a topless car.

The only Jockmeets I've been to have been during winter, and none of us ever hang about. Keep the S and enjoy learning how to drive it properly, and the fresh air on a Sunday morning on your favourite road.

Winter of dull S ownership? What are you on about?

Some of the nicest drives I can remember have been on crisp winter mornings with the roof down!
