Nope; as I thought, I can only find reference to Super HICAS on the R33 GTR; looks like it might have been on the R34 GTS only, once again.

Super HICAS was very similar to Honda's system and a lot more sophisticated then the old hydraulic HICAS, which was, as you say, speed-only sensitive.

Well, the GTR certainly had Super HICAS.

I remember it causing issues based on the conversion of the imports from Km/h to MPH - the car would behave all tail happy because it thought it was going slower than it actually was.
GTR as you say had super HICAS. Vspec also had it. Yaw sensors were incredibly temperamental. I can remember driving down the motorway at 70mph and the car thought (or it felt like) it was doing a slalom. Very concerning doing that on a motorway.

I've only once upset the 4WS in the 'Lude, by turning the fronts before it had completed its start-up routine. The usual fuse-out reset fixed that.

Good ol' Honda: brilliant and much misunderstood system. I wish they still used it.

[QUOTE=MRmike,Jun 2 2009, 11:04 PM] If I was in the market I would consider the technical differences an irrelevence. Have a look at the residuals on the UK R34 versus imports.

A UK R34 GTR in good condition will still fetch

when i was in nissan recently their sales boss was telling me he could get 54k for an ex demo without too many problems. Seems they are selling very well. They had 9 in the garage being prepared for the collection.

Not sure about that? Supply and demand for me. Used car prices have gone up a bit but everybody predicted the GTR to fall through the floor.

I think they will take a hit soon, but they are only building a few hundred for the UK next year.

Hmmm, not seeing many 40k UK cars...

Prices look rather strong!
