That is a quality story But i have been there, I have experienced my BMW's pain. Driving down a country road about two years ago in my Xsara VTS, had some grandad poncing about in front doing 40 in a de-restricted, I wasn't as sensible as I am now (you learn!!), saw a nice piece of straight, blasted past him hit 80MPH, just pulling back in and BANG!!!! Wot the fcuk was that, boll*x that was a Deer I just run over, didn't even see the sod his timing jumping into the road was impeccable, in fact I swear he was on a suicide mission. Anyway with my car smashed to smithereens I pull over ASAP as the radiator is shot, two seconds later grandad comes past with a huge grin on his face and I was left feeling like a tw*t, oh well these things happen. Two grand later and the car was back on the road.

that has cheered me up no end... quality. they think they're lord sh1t these bm drivers...

focus drivers aren't entirely angelic either.. a bloke at work is buying a diesel TURBO one, he says to me 'its VERY fast'.... 'how fast is your car 0-60?'

i was like 'well, this magazine I've got here quotes 5.2s tested, hows that?'

'oh' he says.. what a tool, but its not just him though? they ALL think their diesels are sports car.. get a fvckin grip...

I think about something like this happening everytime I do an overtake on a country road. "God i'll look a tw@t if I ditch it on the next bend" type thought.

Copying you? I was hoping you wouldn't notice Yeah they are good cars, no S obviously but for the money I think you could do alot worse. I really loved mine and in some ways was sorry to see it go. If I were in the position where I had a limited budget I'd definately consider another one.

Yep, pretty much every diesel TURBO driver on my way to work is the same. Convinced that because it has a turbo makes it fast. Er no, that's petrol turbo's mate. Diesels need a turbo just to be able to move...
