Gets better...I spoke to the Focus driver this morning, the BMW driver reckoned it was the road conditions and that he was definately not speeding...maybe ice or oil or something...!

I confimed it was speed.

BMW driver made the mistake of handing the Focus driver his business card and admitted it was a company car.

I provided the helpful idea of contacting his HR department and raising with them how drivers like that kill people and shouldn't the company take a tough and responsible line with 'their' employees in 'their' cars. Not good advertising is it ?

That call is being made now ( )...Oops......me and my big mouth

Why didn't you just buy a 306 GTI-6?
It was on option but you dont get nearly as much car for your money, I like the Xsara better

Fantastic mate. These people rarely have to face the consequences of their arsehole driving, so it'd be nice to think this guy will.

yep.. i love it when they get what they deserve.. keep us informed.

However, i am willing to admit (and i hope others) that more that one BMW driver has goaded me into dropped a couple of cogs and planting it.. on the m-way or dual carrageways.. (watch them dissapear in the mirror, even though the 330d are quite nippy)

Even when you are overtaking they have to sit 2 ft from your ass.

The other day the misses was driving her punto.. ( i know, i know) and it was along b-roads, and this er (bmw) was like 2 ft of her ass.. Then got to a roundabout and attemped to undertake.. i was so pissed.. but my misses hates/doesn't understand volience, and i got more grief for wanting to get out at the next traffic jam and lamp him one.... hmm..

soz for the threadjack

Shipley that is absolute class. Let's hope they not only sort out the issues with the poor focus chap's damage but they recind the driver's company car allowance for driving outside the remit of the law.

Net result one less Beemer driver - it starts here, lets keep it going like this until Beemer drivers are as common as Deloreans

Matches anyone ? [/QUOTE]
This sounds like the A24 going south. Am I right?

Dual carriageways, a reducing amount of single carriageways, an increasing amount of arnco and roadworks, roundabouts and bends. Between 5.30 pm and 7.00 pm it becomes a racetrack for frustrated workers, reps, et al. Their chill out time and anger management time between work and home. Adrenaline can flow and every workday evening it becomes a dangerous outlet for aggression.

Is it a coincidence that this road is between police authorities and is distanced from both?

i have a bmw diesel estate and i like to leave pleeenty of room so there.

so does buying an s turn you into some sort of driving god because one would think so from the posts on here - well except for the numerous ones where someone describes their latest race on the public road. hmmm.

on the subject of overtaking and then looking a right tool, i had a puma some years ago, very early one morning, the day after it had been serviced, i overtook a dawdling audi on a long straight, just pulled in when BANG something hit the underside of the car and in the mirror all i could see was a huge smoke cloud. the sump plug that the ford grease monkey hadn't tightened had worked loose, dropped out and deposited the contents of my sump onto a hot exhaust! lovely smoke trail - looked like i'd been shot down like in those battle of britain films. as i pulled over i couldn't bring myself to make eye contact with the passing audi driver...
