hello dreamer
as we have the same colour scoobys, same year etc,
does your paint scratch very easily.
my scooby looks like it has had a branch dragged over it.
the driver door handles are full of scratches down to the primer
just doesnt seem right.

Yeah it's pretty bad - the door handle "holes" have scratches from previous owners fingernails but they're not too bad.
Worse are the swirls which are all over the car despite my best efforts at 2-bucket-washing etc. etc. Somehow there are some nasty ones on the bonnet at 90 degrees to all the others which I swear I didn't do, as I never wash/dry or polish at that angle !!!
Stone chips quite easily too although I suppose on a black car I expect more than usual (at least I'd notice them more than usual)!
Had a chat with the dealer about it last week when Itook it in for a bit of work (wheel arch liner detached itself just after JAE) and they agreed the paint is remarkably thin.
I've also just waited since JAE for the black touchup paint, which has been on back order
I'm going to have it professionally de-swirled etc., in spring I think - probably best it waits til then or I imagine winter will leave its mark!
I have never been sure whether it's just ablack car, and I've never had a black car before, so do they all mark like this, or is it just remarkably crap paint !!
