Thumbs up Paint damage (bubbling/cracking)

The other week I noticed something dripped down the side of my car. It looked like some nasty spit; but I guess it could have been bird goo, egg, not sure. I washed my car; but it didn't wash off very well. Some of the residue was still left.

This morning I noticed this on my door handle:

The paint is bubbling up and cracking on the door handle. It appears to be all the way down to the plastic.

What can I do? Can I get away with touch up paint for something like this?
Thanks!

Looks like it could have been bird etching. When the paint cracks like that, it will at the very least need to be wetsanded and touched up. But, since it's on such a small, removable piece, your best bet would probably be to just remove the door handle and have a body shop repaint it.

or might even be worth just buying that part-
check on the cost of the part vs cost of repaint
