hey.this programme looks good

Ooooooooooh Matronnn!
Bit of a let down
It proved how much of a control freak Ron Dennis is (mismatched colours on tiles and rubber castors
)
The procedure & quality control doesn't seem too tight, hopefully it will improve as the new factory beds in and gets up to speed. The fact they have never run a car production line before shows!
Really surprised to see no "moving" line for the cars to progress past the work stations, not very efficient that Ron
But on the basis that the Ops Director wanted a production line they could reconfigure at a weeks notice not illogical
.
Aston preheat the wiring looms for 6 hours to make them flexible and easy to fit. McLaren give 2km of cable to 3 guys to wrangle in to position over 3 hours
Paint shop looked a bit worrying lods of hand sadning with out local extraction and masses of planels all over the place
Some of the commentary was wrong as well, nice touch getting the female apprentice of 2 weeks to explain the inner workings of how they assembly thier "master piece"
I'm intrigued to see how the reliablity of the first cars built in the Technology Centre go.

I'm conviced it's merely misogyny/lechery disguised as PC-ness, to see if they can get it past the Beeb's nannies/ninnies.
Probably why Newey left, he wants stuff overnight and think RD didn't want the carnage to go with it.

The Airbus one had the female apprentice and we also had one when I was sevring my time.
She was mediocre at best and I ended up doing all of her milling work for her.
However, she was chosen for any and every PR event because it looks good.
Of course the Holy Grail of PR, in engineering, is to have a female asian.
This won't do any favours to the relationship with their peers as they will notice the blatant favouritism and shun accordingly.
