Judging by the fact that the concept was lets make something fat and ugly for the fat ugly yanks, it is indeed a very good thing that it's being given a rethink.
It needs to be light, low, fast, and have a stupidly high power figure and max rpm to be a true Honda sports car.

You are getting your brands confused, as is Honda it seems.
Basically, Honda is being pushed downmarket by this invented Acura thing.
Yes, I think it sounds like a shitty wristwatch too, but the NSX was an Acura & not a Honda.
Now Acura thinks it's Audi, so most future models will have SH-AWD, so their FWD relatives can become Hondas.
To give it an international feel, its HQ is in US, which results in yankee designs, with soppy art-school septics whining endlessly on about 'emotional styling' WTF that's supposed to mean.
Now I prefer my Hondas with a distinctly wasabe flavour, designed by intelligent, introverted and unassuming engineers instead.
How they intend to square the circle is beyond me.
