I would say I have calmed down a lot with the passing years

after trying karting about 10 years ago I realised then there was a grand canyon width of difference between my skills and a half decent racing driver, I guess we think we are a lot better than we actually are, but we need to see it before we can start to accept it.

with more traffic, central bollards and intolerant drivers it's difficult to find a passing point that does not upset at least one person. I rarely seem to overtake anybody, however when I did overtake a bus with a more than adequate margin for the oncoming bike I was instantly met with 3 sets of two fingered salutes - one from the bus driver and 2 from a motorbike and passenger, can't please everybody.

LOL. It's very easy to sit in your little motorized box and convince yourself you're the greatest thing since sliced bread! There were 9 of us (3 cars plus instructors) on my standard driving course) Being young bucks it was very aggressive and highly competitive. I was very pleased to come second overall. Sounds great, but the guy who came first was as far in front of me then as Schuey would be now, and he didn't even have to try, it was just the way it was!... Bastard!
