Not sure burnie, I would have said that of the same age, like for like the S keeps it's value slightly better than the 350Z. When I was looking to trade UP that's certainly what I found!

350Z values are in free fall at the moment, the 06 version has caused a massive reduction prices of the pre 06 versions, and Nissan is going to launch an 08 version just to screw up values even more.

Glad I don't have anything to do with that heap anymore

Z4 3-litres are not holding their value anything like as well as the S2000. I almost bought an identical age Z4 3.0i before I bought my S, it was fully loaded with every BMW option and was immaculate. They wanted the same price for it as my S, but when they were both new, the S2000 was

Beware the options trap;

A lot of these city-boy sporty cars are specced to the hilt and surprise, surprise, cost well over list new. Suddenly, the residuals are a lot less good.

Suddenly, the S2000 looks relatively stable. Always has been, really.

I'd expect the 350Z to show the usual Datsun dustbin depreciation diagram, too.

I think the Boxster prices are held artificially high by the dealers. Bet they aim to make 4k+ per car.

Go and trade one in and see what they offer you. Bugger all I bet.

Thats the prob,when its time to sell it never the time.
But looking at what is for sale on Ph, the 350z looks to me as if its no bargain yet! same year cars areon there for, around the same price as the S.The convertables seem lee money than the GT4s. i really thought out of this market the nissan would have droped a lot but it as not!
Mind you there are over 30 s2000s for sale 25 nissans, i wounder how many Nissan have sold!

PH is crap for guaging sales price and volume too many cars get reposted and many are overpriced. AT is more realistic.

I was looking at prices of the Elise again the other day, and they don't seem to have changed much in the year or so since I was thinking of getting one. Meanwhile my S2000 is worth at least

The S does very well I think.

If you buy a new S from a dealer you should probably pay
