Personally, I think he's mental spending that much on a ornament but we've been through all that and I'm genuinely excited for him now
That comes very highly up in some people's agenda.

Svelt.

A friend of mine had one which he purchased new on an 07 plate for £85k, ran for 15 months and got £48k back for it! They are awesome cars, not overly fast (Cayman S performance), but the V8 sound is spine tingling! I drove it before he got rid, only on a side road but the noise is beautiful! He had fuse 22 (i think its that one) removed which keeps the exhaust open all the time

Handling wise i think they are pretty good but i'm not sure how many people will ever be prepared to push it to the limit on a track, let alone on the road. When we were on the Ring I overtook his Aston in a Cayman S but it was his cousin driving and i dont think he wanted to risk any altercations with the armco!!

Good value second hand now and the interior feels like any Aston should... expensive!

It's a nice looking thing, which version?

The first lot weren't that fast, AM increased the BHP on the later cars
Not by alot and still not that fast
+07's are ~420 BHP
unless you include the V12 upgrade

For instance the seat adjusters look like an after thought by TVR
The seatbelt buckle is at the perfect height to take great chunks out of the nicely colour coded door panel
The fly off handbrake on the drivers cill is a PITA to use.

I test drove one earlier in the year during one of my weak moments
Love the sound, love the look
Hate the ride and the performance
I'll bet the V12 is good!

Anyway I'm sure he will enjoy it!

I don't understand the performance issue Mike?

It is a fast car. Top 1/2%.

Granted it doesn't feel fast when driving because it is a very linear accelaration. As fast as the e39M5, faster than a Cayman S (i just is) and as fast as a 996.

I've been driving around in an 09 roadster today, roof off

Certainly doesn't need much more power IMO. Lovely balanced package. And the noise..... mmmmm!

it's a 2 seat GT car not an out and out racer.. for that it's quick
0-100 in sub 10s in fact it's 2s quicker than a Z4M, F355 fast.

the V12 is the racers version but if you want a really quick car you'd pick something lighter
