if you had the cash today would you buy one (you may have the cash in which case the answer is no)?

i used to think i was a real petrolhead and i used to spend a lot of my income on cars. not any more. i think how many months (after tax) i would need to work for that car and think 'no thanks'... ambition to retire and work for myself only means i value the capital waaaay too high

When I test drove one it looked great from the outside, sounded great when the valve opened, turned heads.
But as you say getting shot of the mortgage, having some sort of pension and working for myself are all a high priority.
Not to mention I have a faster, more agile car in the garage already.
Fair play to ge2's mate though going from a Primera to his dream car!

Let's all blindly worship Aston Martin like the individuals we are!

I thought the problems were the excessive width (as with everything these days), lousy ergonomics and horrendous running costs due to the occasionally suspect BQ, particularly of the engines. Or has Uli Bez got those sorted yet?

I hope so soon, because it's yet another modern British car that's so very nearly very good indeed...

Not to mention the factory paint shop quality (having seen it in person)

Nottm, I wouldn't yet persoanlly. Especially new, I don't think I will ever buy a pricey new car. There are other stuff I need to own first before too old to pull it off Aston is towards the end of the queue.

Nick, my boss' one went back within 1 month with an electric glitch and hasn't skipped a beat for 10k miles. I read a buyers guide recently which suggested they are very trouble free. His paint also looked spot on. I think you have mentioned paint before Mikey, which surprised me a bit as they are supposed to be renowned for paint quality (I thought) Maybe you found a rough resprayed one?

I hope that's representative. Needed a Swabian to execute the changes required.

Funny how British cars used to be the biggest shite on the planet and now they're no worse than the Germans. Could it be they're ostensibly German?

As I said it was the factory paint shop at Gaydon
So not just one, they looked like patch work quilts with the amount of filler patches on them.
Now the Rolls Royce plant at Chichester that is like an operating theater!

Nick you have a point - isn't the MD of Aston a German?
