What I found, was that it didn't matter what spped you were doing, one blip of that throttle and all is well with the world 
I'd say it felt as fast as the Evo once on the move. Pulled pretty hard!
This was a paddle shift, and didn't detract from the experience. The handbrake is a complete PITA though.
