im my case (my fault, no-one else involved), i just had NCB froze for 1 year.

ie: i started the year with 6yrs NCB, and i ended the insurance year with 6yr ncb.

This is getting stupid now....

Tesco have been unable to recover the costs from the 3rd party insurer. They have written to me saying that they are now considering legal action against them and may need me to attend court.

Now, 3 years of my NCB is still being withheld by Tesco. Is this not a bit dodgy? Why is it my problem they can't get their money back when the 3rd party has already admitted liability? Apparently this is "the procedure", sounds more like a fast one.

Should I bother contacting the Financial Ombudsman?

Unfortunately insurance companies and the law work very slowly.
