Interview with the GTR designer
Most interesting!
I liked the bit where he explains why they came up with the optimum the weight / power calculation
Not sure I belive it, but clearly the car does all the talking.

Just waiting for the prices to drop a bit Aj
I was close to it today but restrained myself
The interview kind of sounded like a justification of the end result, or that the engine and drivetrain required made it that heavy, rather than a design plan! They wouldn't have made the Spec V lighter otherwise! Although the Spec V does seem to be a bit slower on track, so maybe they built it to prove heavy is better?

Yes, it does do the talking on track/road, but why did he feel the need to totally discredit the car with such drivel.
No doubt the wise men on PH will all be adding led ballast to their cars as we speak....
Why didn't he say:
We wanted to make the GTR a technology showcase as well as having amazing performance.
We also kept comfot levels high because we feel that owners will require this from the car.
These things add weight, but the benefit they offer, for the car's target audience, make them necessary inclusions to sustain the GTR brand.
Plus, the car is no slouch as we can see (que Nurby clip etc etc)
Not really rocket science.
