Just saw Antony Hamilton in the supermarket
Popped to my local Morrisons today (glamorous, I know) and he walked past the till I was waiting at. I wasn't 100% sure it was him, but got out to the car park and a black SL 65 AMG Black Series with foreign plates was driving out with him in it so that sealed it!
Not really a surprise because the family live in the next village to mine, but I was surprised that he would choose Morrisons and not Waitrose! Also, I wondered whether the car was one of Lewis's as it wasn't UK registered. They weren't Monagesque, but I think they were Swiss, or even Liechtenstien plates.
Well, whoooo hooo for my celeb spot today! Almost tops bumping into Mark Blundell in Thurrock Lakeside shopping centre in 1992!
Anyone else bumped into famous motorsport people (formal events like sponsors parties, or organised signing sessions don't count!)?

Nice.
I see one of the ex british rally champions in my gym a fair bit, but not really famous.
Not motorsport, but...
I saw Kim Klijsters in the Heathrow BA lounge a couple of weeks ago, and sat opposite her. Nobody else knew who she was Seemed very down to earth.
Saw Monty Panessar in Singapore airport too, coming back from that cricket thing in Australia.
But back onto motorsport...
I always wonder how many famous people you wander past and never realise.

Damon Hill walked in at the end of the drivers briefing on a track day we did a couple of years back at Cadwell Park. His son was getting to grips with his Ginetta Junior before the start of the season.
My dad was gobsmacked and kept saying "son look there's Damon Hill!"
My brother asked him if he was going to be driving as he wanted to tell his wife that he'd been "overtaken by Damon Hill" (sadly he wasn't)

I once had a GF who rented a room above the stables at Jonathan Palmers place in sussex. We use to regularly run into him and his little helicopter hanger was right next to the room so we'd often see him on his way somewhere.
A couple of time we helped round up his horses which had escaped onto the road around his house. A fairly regular occurance from what I hear.
One time I pulled up in my S and he came over and we started chatting, he said he really liked the car ! seal of approval there then.
Seemed a nice chap and I was hoping to wangle some driving tuition out of him, but then the relationship broke up and that was that.
