always let the owner take the car out if i'm going for a test drive. Best way to see if the warm it up and have driven it with some mechanical sympathy.

Always a good idea - if my Dad took you out for a drive in his car you probably wouldn't buy it as he slings it round corners and thinks he is Nigel Mansell - he drives a Kia Rio
