Lexus IS-F
It's not that difficult.
Go drive it, if you like it and can afford it, buy it
Be worth considering how long you are likely to keep it, and how much you will lose on it over the period (and compare this with it's competitors; M3, etc).
It would be the M3 for me, but if the price is right on the Lexus..............................

Don't know. Was on the phone to one of the head honchos of TGB earlier in the week. We're both petrol heads and get on pretty well and I was telling him I'd been doing some tyre kicking over the last few weekends. Asked if I'd tried an IS-F yet. Said no but a brand new one would be a bit pricey but if the prices came down enough now they're a year old it might be worth it. Said he might know of one or two coming up for sale that a Toyota employee might get at a preferential rate

No ideas of colours, specs or price yet. Just after some opinions from other people. It'll force me to think about things properly rather than just going "I WANT ONE!"

I'll have to have another look around the inside of the M3. Been 2~3 years since I looked around the inside of one but I found it a hateful place to be. From that video they're saying it's far better than the other though.
M3 still isn't really doing anything for me and never has done. I appreciate what it can do but it just doesn't do it for me. It's a kind of benchmark though and I'd hate to buy a seriously inferior product for around the same price
More I see it the more I like the engine/transmission set up in the Lexus. Had forgotten it didn't have an LSD though which is a downer. If the price was low enough might still go for it
Still needing a

listen to what everyone is saying and writing
they cannot all be wrong
RON is dead right about pricing and residuals too
No because I haven't made a decision to buy either yet.
The one thing this discussion has brought out though is what I would probably consider my upper limit I'd find acceptable
