Lexus IS-F
How long do you plan keeping it?
If it's for the long term, then it's probably a very good buy as the depreciation will differ little from an M3.
The Lexus ownership experience is supposed to be very good (although I guess you might know more than I about that).
Add in the superior-to-BMW build quality and the rest, and it does make a fair bit of sense.

Would probably be the same as the S. Still enjoying it so not felt the need to get rid after 7 years.
Must say the Lexus ownership thing is supposed to be a bit special but only seen it from the far side but have been impressed. Always been a good experience being in a Lexus dealership even when they don't know who you are
I had a go in one a few weeks back. Lovely car, sounds tremendous, and I love the interior. It has that German solidarity, but Japanese coolness.
As someone said earlier it's a tough call to buy one over the quantifiably better M3. I would though - if it's not going to b used as an oversteer merchant - M3 has proper M diff while the IS uses Electronics to replicate the diff.
Different and special. I don't think the new M3 is either - it's too much wolf in sheeps clothing for me.

I think that's kind of the appeal of it for me but as this discussions gone on it's persuaded me I'm not willing to pay over the odds for it. Ergo I think I'd take one over an M3 but I wouldn't pay M3 prices for one if you catch my drift
if you have cash swilling about then now is a great time to buy an expensive car.. or in fact any car. or even a bike
if a dealer owns a car they will want rid a lot more than they did a while ago. main dealers would used to let them stand for about 90 days then do everything they could to get rid, eventually shipping to auction
i guess the question is do you want a quick big saloon? it is unlikely to be a massive bargain compared to the rest of the market and for that money (
