We have one too - as you say, excellent bit of kit. The other thing we have is a Clarke Dolly- you can push the bike onto it, put the stand down and then spin it around .... or you can move it flat back against a wall without going through the whole sportsbike lack of lock thing.

Changed the brake pads on mine the other evening, 10 minutes work including cleaning up the caliper - modern stuff is good.

This bike seems a bit of a pain to work on, the plugs are a mission apparently and it wants coolant every 3 years

I'll update when I start, clearing/organising tools at the min using that shadowfoam stuff

As we head to lockdown 2.0 I started to take my bike to bits

2017, swing arm rusting like feckery

welding by Parkinson's sufferer & visually impaired individual - inclusive policies at Yamaha

I got as far as brake and wheel off then had to collect the unit (who so far has managed a half term at school)

Everything is mucky after 7k all year miles so will all get cleaned

Looks much nicer, did you dip it to cure off any of the internal rot inside the metalwork or was that ok?

It was dipped apparently but not by me, he said easiest way to remove rust outside

anyway, i will cavity wax inside and never ponder it again

it is filthy at the arse end, i use the oily wet lube in winter and that goes ****ing everywhere. New seals from fowlers today (local Yam dealer went a year or two back) so no excuses remain .. will start to re assemble tomorrow assuming no more emergencies (mutt was savaged yesterday so a lot of vet waiting and pandering to poorly pooch since.. and sharpening weapons ready for the revenge)

+1 Always a worrying time when the ‘hairy bairn’ is poorly.

At least you can get dog there, we can’t get to see a doctor, all treatments are over the phone, unless they decide it's serious and send you to A&E.

It wasn't pleasant especially because I wasn't there to administer a ****ing kicking to the other dog
Dunno what kind of dog does that to a puppy but I know what kind of dog it will be next time we meet

Bike is done, was a bit of a back breaker but no more rust
