At least I learnt German off of Mr G and that Google translate on my phone camera negates the need for it

All in, caliper refurb cost £38 in parts, £15 in paint and jurist, probably spent just under £40 on fluid chasing air that was not there

So sub £100 and the BMW tech said 'they look powder coated' haha. And they work!

Haha, I was thinking the same thing, I just have to drive faster to keep the dampness behind me, at least the sprinkler is back in the shed and I can watch my veggies growing, if you’re blaming me for the weather at least someone else is getting away with it.

Just curious about the retaining clip btw.

haha no, i took it that way. If you look at how the caliper sits then it's clear what that clip does. Essentially the caliper is like a C over the disc and it's on slider pins at the rear, it needs something at the front pulling it toward the centre of the hub against the carrier and that's what the clip does. I'd put so that it pushed away from centre so was off square. Did it without engaging brain if i'm honest

anyway, chuffed it's all sorted now

I keep finding stuff to do.. rigging up a hardtop lift using 2 X 3m slings

These things are pretty cheap and 1T each swl

I have a chain winch which is overkill and a rope one I will probably use

Late night TV fun show last night. Er indoors has got hooked on the Wheeler Dealers car doing up and flog it show on Quest.

I appeared bedside prompt at midnight and Carol started to tell me excitedly what it was this show. Cut her off "Yes I know it's an E type Jaguar". "How did you know?". "TV guide (Freeview) says it's the most beautiful car in the world". QED. This was an M suffix V12 coupe. Blue.

New nose cone/bonnet hinges, sills tidy up/respray, ss exhaust fitted, wheel spokes, drivers seat bolster/stitching, mats, door cards oh and a diff seal.

Last item cost pennies but as usual they don't value the mech's work. Cost £13,250 £16,000 with parts, sold £18,500. Snip.

Engine, brakes, drive train and suspension in superb nick.

Ok, I know I’ve been in lockdown a while and put on a bit of weight but, I really don’t think the adverts for ladies underwear are needed top and bottom of the page! I wouldn’t even say I’ve developed moobs, not even moo! Aren’t these ads supposed to be tailored? Actually though any ads are a pain as the page moves up and down, often causing me to end up in the wrong post.

A watch forum I look into keeps showing ads for H.R. Owen Bentley dealer, as if.
