you're such a provocateur..

i've no issue with the French, they are grumpy B's but make good wine, they can farm. their state sponsored car makers churn out shyte imho, having owned one and only, ever, one. but i'd say that about everything made outside Japan if i'm honest. especially the tat we make (bar mclaren which might be alright if you wanna spend 200k)

i'm taking the swing arm off and powder coating..

There are rumours that McL owners see some pretty big bills, too.

But it's all done in-house and a bit hush-hush.

The Japanese used to get everything made by the likes of Denso, etc. Now they are buying tat from Bosch, Continental, LuK, etc, things seem to be going awry.

The problem is that in a lease driven market, no one cares about what happens on the 1st day after the lease deal is up. The Japanese were engineering in longevity in a market that neither needed it or cared about it and all that did was drove the price up.

indeed..

anyway my very old Honda is getting the Nitrons fitted this week. i'd planned it for when nipper was at school but so much for plans eh? i'll fit on my half days off the teaching job.

its veey tidy under there atm

edit to say my view is there are grades of quality coming from Honda, Yamaha et al. the lower end stuff is produced in places like Thailand, and apparently France. It's basic quality ime

My XSR is painted very poorly and has rusted sooo badly, albeit it's a year round commuter in our salty shyte
previously CRF250M you could see the cut corners

whereas my CBR600RRs where both superb quality. the CRF450x is well built but that is a very old design, some of us believe the golden era

No rust on the mt09 or the CT but oc they do live in milder climes.
